FREETANCE Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy (this "Policy") regarding how we handle user information in the mobile application "Ashimoto Zen" (the "App") that we provide.
1. Information we process
The App processes or stores the following information only on your device:
- Real-time values from the device motion sensors (orientation-related data including gyroscope and accelerometer)
- In-app settings (BGM volume, sound effects volume, allowable angle, accessibility settings such as color-blind mode, support mode, furigana mode, etc.)
- Gameplay progress information (such as cumulative meditation time, highest stage reached, consecutive play days, and tutorial completion flags)
The App does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or postal address; location data; contacts; photos; microphone input; camera images; or advertising identifiers (such as IDFA).
2. Purposes of use
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- Motion sensor data: to determine device orientation during gameplay within the App
- Settings and gameplay progress: to restore and continue displaying them within the App for your convenience
We do not use the information for any purposes other than those listed above.
3. Storage and transmission
All information handled by the App is processed or stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to external servers or third parties.
- Motion sensor data: processed only in memory while the App is running and discarded when the App terminates.
- Settings and gameplay progress: saved using iOS standard local storage (UserDefaults / persistent data path) and fully deleted when you uninstall the App.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We do not provide, sell, or share the collected information to third parties.
5. Advertising and tracking
The App does not display advertisements. It does not integrate any SDK that performs app tracking (such as collecting advertising identifiers including IDFA) or any analytics SDK for usage statistics. We also do not display the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission prompt.
6. Cookies and similar identifiers
The App does not use cookies or similar identifiers.
7. Share feature
The App includes a "Share" button on the game-over screen. This feature operates only when you voluntarily tap the button. When you do, an image (sumi-e style card) and text that include your achieved meditation time, stage reached, and date are passed only to the app you choose through the iOS share sheet (UIActivityViewController)—such as social or messaging apps selected by you. None of this data is sent to our servers.
8. Children
The App is designed for general audiences (rated 4+) and can be used safely by children. We do not collect personal information from children without parental consent.
9. Security
Because information is handled entirely on your device, there is no risk of leakage through communication channels. On-device data is protected by iOS standard sandbox mechanisms.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may change this Policy due to changes in laws or the App’s functionality. If we make material changes, we will notify you in advance within the App or on our website.
